Many thanks to all residents who took part in the online survey to provide feedback on the Draft Regional Growth Strategy. On June 28, the RDN Board gave first and second reading to the Bylaw, which allows the RDN to proceed to the public hearing stage during early September, 2011. Your feedback was an extremely important part of revising the Draft RGS and getting the Bylaw to this stage.
We are pleased to announce the winners of the Draft RGS online survey prize draw. Ken McLeod (left, with Manager of Long Range Planning Paul Thompson) won a $400 grocery card from the store of his choice (Thrifty Foods). Inge von Stackelberg (centre) and Mary Peters (right) each received a one-month unlimited transit pass from Daniel Pearce, Nanaimo Regional Transit System Manager of Transit and Planning. Again, thank you to everyone who completed the survey and entered the prize draw.
